This presentation will speak to the importance of creating transgender-inclusive spaces and the power of visibility for gender-diverse people.

Participants will:

  • Improve communication skills.
  • Identify tools to create an inclusive culture.
  • Gain a better understanding of allyship and advocacy.
  • Create a way to market your services to the trans community.

TREES, Inc. is an organization with the mission of transgender education and resource building, focusing on small-town and rural communities. Meghan is a leader in the transgender community, regionally and nationally. She has been recognized for her work first in 2015 as a recipient of a Trans100 Award and, most recently, in 2022, by the Notre Dame LGBTQ+ Alumni organization, ARCND. She regularly presents at conferences and on college campuses on topics related to the transgender community, including health care, community services, and workplace inclusion. In addition to leading her organization, she works as a public school teacher in the South Bend Public Schools. Meghan has also served her community as a member of community boards and committees. Across the country, she serves as a mentor to transgender youth and families. Meghan is an out and proud transgender woman.
