Assessing and managing the risk of suicide with pregnant or postpartum clients can feel intimidating to home visitors, social workers, or medical professionals. It can be one of the most sensitive and critical aspects of perinatal care. This hybrid session, titled ‘Suicide Risk Assessment & Management During Pregnancy and the Postpartum Period‘ will equip you with practical tools, evidence-based strategies, and compassionate approaches to help safeguard the well-being of mothers and birthing people during this vulnerable time.

About the Speaker: Donna Armentrout is a licensed clinical psychologist. Throughout her practice and research, she has explored how culture and justice issues impact mental health and wellness. She has a special interest in professional ethics when faced with complex concerns like suicide.
