Bridging the Gap:

National, State, and Local Strategies for Human Trafficking Intervention & Recovery

On January 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (EST), join us via Zoom for a powerful, free webinar presented by Mental Health Awareness of Michiana (MHAM) and partners. Together, we’ll explore what human trafficking really is — at the global, state, and local levels — and share real-world tools for intervention, prevention, and survivor support.

Through three sessions led by experts from Alliance to End Human Trafficking, Indiana Trafficking Victims Assistance Program (ITVAP), and Bashor Children’s Home, we’ll cover: the legal definitions and types of trafficking; current trends and intervention strategies in Indiana; and compassionate, trauma-informed care practices for survivors — including youth and families affected by commercial sexual exploitation.

This training is designed for caring professionals and community members alike. Indiana-licensed practitioners (LCSW, LSW, LMHC/LMHCA, LMFT, LCAC, and CAC) are eligible for 2 continuing education credits, while all other attendees are welcome to join at no cost. Your participation — and any donation you choose to make — helps MHAM continue offering vital community education to prevent trafficking and support survivors.
