Mental Health Awareness of Michiana (MHAM) is proud to announce that Executive Director Lisa Kelly has been named the 2025 Social Worker of the Year by the Indiana Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). This award is given annually to a social worker who exemplifies the values of the profession and demonstrates a commitment to serving individuals, families, and communities.
“We are incredibly proud of Lisa and grateful for the recognition of her work,” said Colleen Wilcox, MHAM board president. “Her vision and leadership have elevated mental health awareness and created meaningful change for families across our region.”
The announcement comes at an exciting time for MHAM, which hosted its annual gala August 28th to support and celebrate mental health initiatives across the region. Kelly’s recognition as Social Worker of the Year underscores the importance of MHAM’s mission and the impact of its work in building healthier, stronger communities.
“Lisa’s recognition is well deserved. This honor reflects her tireless dedication and the profound impact of MHAM’s mission to expand mental health awareness, access, and care,” added Taylor Nicoletti, MHAM board member.
This year, the NASW Awards Committee selected two honorees whose impact extends across the state. Lisa will be recognized alongside Aly Griggs, with an awards celebration planned later this year.
Congratulations, Lisa!
