The Neuroscience of Trauma Treatment: How Treatment Models Can Affect Change in Trauma Survivors

Are you interested in the neurobiological underpinnings of trauma response and recovery? Join us for an insightful hybrid training on the neuroscience of trauma treatment with Crystal Whitlow, LCSW on Friday, June 20th at the Community Education Center, 437 N. Niles Ave., South Bend, IN, which will help you learn how treatment models affect change in trauma survivors.

Learning Objectives:

Understand the neurobiological impact of trauma

Differentiate between cognitive and somatic interventions for trauma recovery

Explain the neuroscience of memory reconsolidation and its role in updating traumatic memories

Eligible attendees can earn 2 Continuing Education hours.

$25 CE Registration rate / $10 Community and Student rate / Free for MHAM PBCP volunteers.

About the Speaker: Crystal Whitlow is a licensed clinical social worker with a private practice called Open Mind, LLC in South Bend, IN. Since 2015, she has been a trainer with EMDR Consulting, LLC, where she teaches EMDR therapy to clinicians and offers advanced workshops and consultation.
