April 2023
We are pleased to announce Angela Fitch, MSW, LSW is the
MHAM Volunteer of the Month!
Angela is a volunteer with MHAM’s Pro Bono Counseling Project (PBCP). The PBCP connects
individuals, couples, and families who are uninsured, underinsured, and unable to afford
the cost of mental health treatment with a volunteer, licensed, and insured mental health
clinician. Volunteer clinicians provide short-term counseling at no cost to the client.
Angela, born and raised in Mishawaka, received her education from the IUSB – School of Social Work for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She specializes in working with youth (age 5+), teens, and young adults at Cornerstone Family Therapy. She is currently working towards a certification in anxiety for children and adolescents (CCATP-CA).
Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband and children, however, she also enjoys reading, baking, and running.
“My time volunteering with PBCP has helped me see just how much of a need there is for this program. The barriers to mental health care are plenty and to know I have a piece in bridging that gap just means so much to me.”
Thank you, Angela, for your commitment to improving access to mental health care in
Michiana as a volunteer clinician with MHAM’s Pro Bono Counseling Project!
