Overview of Organizational Perspectives: Summer 2025 Mental Health Survey Highlights Workforce Strain and Commitment to Change<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

The findings of the 2025 Organizational Perspectives on the Mental Health Landscape in Northern Indiana<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span>,<\/span> created in collaboration between<\/span> Mental Health Awareness of Michiana<\/strong> (MHAM) <\/span>and the<\/span> Eck Institute for Global Health | Notre Dame<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/a>, reveal a clear and urgent message from organizations across the region: mental health remains a critical priority, yet systems and teams are feeling the strain of rising demand and limited resources.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThe Organizational Perspectives Report, completed in partnership with the Eck Institute of Global Health, gives us a snapshot of how nonprofit organizations are fairing,” says Lisa Kelly, MHAM Executive Director. “Surveys were gathered from Michiana nonprofit leaders in August, 2025 to provide insight on organizations’ responses to current policy and funding shifts. We see the stress nonprofit organizations are experiencing but also nimbleness around their response. Preserving staffing and services is front of mind while navigating less stable funding streams. I am especially excited at how the respondents view the prospect of collaboration.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The survey gathered feedback from a diverse range of organizations to better understand how mental health <\/span>challenges are affecting workplaces, service providers, and the broader community. Many respondents reported increased openness in discussing stress, burnout, and trauma-informed practices – signaling continued progress in reducing stigma around mental health in professional settings. The report also underscores persistent and complex challenges: organizations cited workforce shortages, funding constraints, and capacity limitations as major barriers to fully meeting community needs.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
