{"id":3189,"date":"2023-10-24T23:46:23","date_gmt":"2023-10-24T23:46:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mhamichiana.org\/?p=3189"},"modified":"2023-10-24T23:46:23","modified_gmt":"2023-10-24T23:46:23","slug":"october-2023-volunteer-of-the-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mhamichiana.org\/es\/october-2023-volunteer-of-the-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Voluntario del mes de octubre de 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Octubre de 2023<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nos complace anunciar <\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Betty Guzm\u00e1n, MA, LMHC<\/strong> y <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Terapia Familiar Cornerstone<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>como la Concientizaci\u00f3n sobre la Salud Mental de Michiana (MHAM)<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00a1Voluntario del mes!\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La voluntaria del mes de MHAM, Betty Guzman, ha colaborado como voluntaria con la <a href=\"https:\/\/mhamichiana.org\/es\/pro-bono-counseling-project\/\">Asesoramiento Gratuito<\/a> (PBCP) desde hace aproximadamente dos a\u00f1os y ha sido una fant\u00e1stica incorporaci\u00f3n al PBCP.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuando se le pregunt\u00f3 por qu\u00e9 colabora como voluntaria con el PBCP, respondi\u00f3: \u201cSer voluntaria en este grupo me resulta muy valioso porque brinda un servicio a quienes de otro modo no tendr\u00edan acceso a \u00e9l. Tambi\u00e9n valoro que el Proyecto apoye a los terapeutas ofreci\u00e9ndoles oportunidades de pr\u00e1cticas, desarrollo profesional y una orientaci\u00f3n integral que ayuda a evitar que tanto los terapeutas principiantes como los ya establecidos se sientan solos, desanimados o agotados\u201d.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">No solo realiza un trabajo extraordinario con la PBCP, sino que tambi\u00e9n fund\u00f3 Cornerstone Family Therapy junto con su esposo Daniel. Adem\u00e1s, explic\u00f3 que \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cornerstonefamilytherapy.org\/\">Terapia Familiar Cornerstone<\/a> Ofrecemos servicios a una amplia variedad de personas, desde terapia de juego hasta terapia familiar, servicios de telesalud, atenci\u00f3n colaborativa y m\u00e1s. Si bien el trabajo pro bono siempre ha sido importante para m\u00ed, nuestra pr\u00e1ctica se vio inesperadamente afectada por una gran transici\u00f3n al mismo tiempo que las restricciones y los cierres de la pandemia. Durante ese per\u00edodo, dedicamos mucho tiempo a definir c\u00f3mo quer\u00edamos servir a la comunidad m\u00e1s de cerca una vez que la situaci\u00f3n se estabilizara.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Con la vista puesta en el crecimiento, Betty comenz\u00f3 a fijarse metas. Guzm\u00e1n coment\u00f3: \u201cUna de las metas en las que estamos trabajando con ah\u00ednco es la obtenci\u00f3n del estatus de organizaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro y los servicios asociados. El prop\u00f3sito principal es implementar los recursos que necesitamos para ampliar nuestro alcance en la comunidad y, eventualmente, ofrecer m\u00e1s servicios grupales, especializados y presenciales. Esta misi\u00f3n est\u00e1 inspirada y alineada con la del PBCP. \u00a1No puedo imaginar una mejor colaboraci\u00f3n que seguir trabajando junto a una organizaci\u00f3n tan extraordinaria mientras forjamos nuestro propio camino en el futuro!\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Cuando le preguntaron a Betty si ten\u00eda alg\u00fan consejo para los profesionales que dudaban en colaborar con la PBCP, respondi\u00f3: \u201c\u00a1H\u00e1ganlo! \u00a1Por favor, h\u00e1ganlo! En serio, formar parte de la PBCP es mutuamente beneficioso, ya que como terapeuta tendr\u00e1s acceso a un incre\u00edble sistema de apoyo profesional y, adem\u00e1s, podr\u00e1s conectar con las poblaciones a las que intentas llegar en tu propia \u00e1rea. No tiene ninguna desventaja, y tu participaci\u00f3n ayudar\u00e1 a la PBCP a crecer, ampliar su alcance y aumentar sus recursos, simplemente por involucrarte.
