{"id":3010,"date":"2023-05-10T18:30:31","date_gmt":"2023-05-10T18:30:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mhamichiana.org\/?p=3010"},"modified":"2026-04-27T02:23:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T06:23:19","slug":"may-2023-volunteer-of-the-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mhamichiana.org\/es\/may-2023-volunteer-of-the-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Voluntario del mes de mayo de 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mayo de 2023<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nos complace anunciar <\/span><b>Joe Ernst<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> es el<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>\u00a1Voluntario del mes de MHAM!<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Joe es un estudiante de pre-medicina que se grad\u00faa en la Universidad de Notre Dame y es originario de Nueva Orleans, Luisiana. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Joe estaba interesado en estudiar medicina despu\u00e9s de un a\u00f1o sab\u00e1tico trabajando con Partners in Health en Chiapas, M\u00e9xico. \u201cAl crecer en el \u00e1rea urbana de Nueva Orleans, tom\u00e9 conciencia de las desigualdades socioecon\u00f3micas y, a medida que me interes\u00e9 en la salud y el bienestar, comenc\u00e9 a ver estas desigualdades en t\u00e9rminos de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica y acceso a la misma\u201d. Joe asisti\u00f3 a las cumbres y conferencias de salud mental de MHAM, que reunieron a numerosos socios y l\u00edderes comunitarios para crear un di\u00e1logo entre proveedores y organizaciones. Joe aprendi\u00f3 sobre los recursos comunitarios y las diferentes necesidades de la comunidad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El trabajo de Joe con MHAM como becario McNeill de la Universidad de Notre Dame ha sido significativo. Adem\u00e1s de asistir a nuestras clases y eventos, Joe tradujo nuestros <a href=\"https:\/\/mhamichiana.org\/es\/\">sitio web en espa\u00f1ol<\/a>, Investigamos oportunidades de financiaci\u00f3n, optimizamos las evaluaciones de nuestras clases de educaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica, recopilamos res\u00famenes de evaluaci\u00f3n de eventos y grabamos, editamos y publicamos las grabaciones de nuestros eventos en el canal de YouTube de MHAM.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cMi participaci\u00f3n en los eventos de MHAM me ha brindado la oportunidad de conocer las experiencias y necesidades de las personas de nuestra comunidad. He aprendido mucho sobre las enfermedades mentales, la atenci\u00f3n informada sobre el trauma, las experiencias de las personas de color en la medicina, las experiencias de la comunidad LGBTQ+, as\u00ed como sobre la adicci\u00f3n y las enfermedades mentales durante el per\u00edodo perinatal. Llevar\u00e9 conmigo la conciencia de estas experiencias y problem\u00e1ticas a medida que avance en mi camino para convertirme en m\u00e9dico, y espero que esta conciencia me permita responder de manera m\u00e1s eficaz e integral a las necesidades f\u00edsicas y emocionales de los pacientes. Quiero agradecer a Lisa Kelly por coordinar mi voluntariado y permitirme colaborar con esta maravillosa organizaci\u00f3n.
