{"id":2977,"date":"2023-04-03T15:16:33","date_gmt":"2023-04-03T15:16:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mhamichiana.org\/?p=2977"},"modified":"2023-04-04T21:06:31","modified_gmt":"2023-04-04T21:06:31","slug":"april-2023-volunteer-of-the-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mhamichiana.org\/es\/april-2023-volunteer-of-the-month\/","title":{"rendered":"April 2023, Volunteer of the Month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>April 2023<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">We are pleased to announce <strong>Angela Fitch, <span class=\"S1PPyQ\">MSW, LSW <\/span><\/strong>is the<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>MHAM Volunteer of the Month!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Angela is a volunteer with MHAM\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/mhamichiana.org\/es\/pro-bono-counseling-project\/\">Pro Bono Counseling Project (PBCP)<\/a>. The PBCP connects<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">individuals, couples, and families who are uninsured, underinsured, and unable to afford<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">the\u00a0cost of mental health treatment with a volunteer, licensed, and insured mental health<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">clinician. Volunteer clinicians provide short-term counseling at no cost to the client.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Angela, born and raised in Mishawaka, received her education from the IUSB &#8211; School of Social Work for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She specializes in working with youth (age 5+), teens, and young adults at Cornerstone Family Therapy. She is currently working towards a certification in anxiety for children and adolescents (CCATP-CA).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband and children, however, she also enjoys reading, baking, and running.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;My time volunteering with PBCP has helped me see just how much of a need there is for this program.
