{"id":2754,"date":"2022-09-19T22:40:32","date_gmt":"2022-09-19T22:40:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mhamichiana.org\/?p=2754"},"modified":"2022-09-19T22:43:44","modified_gmt":"2022-09-19T22:43:44","slug":"september-2022-volunteer-of-the-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mhamichiana.org\/es\/september-2022-volunteer-of-the-month\/","title":{"rendered":"September 2022, Volunteer of the Month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>We are pleased to announce Lisa Yeager, LCAC is the MHAM Volunteer of the Month!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lisa is a volunteer with MHAM\u2019s Pro Bono Counseling Project (PBCP).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The PBCP connects individuals, couples, and families who are uninsured, underinsured, and unable to afford the cost of mental health treatment with a volunteer, licensed, and insured mental health clinician.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Volunteer clinicians provide short term counseling at no cost to the client.<\/p>\n<p>For Lisa, participating as a volunteer clinician stresses the importance of working with those who cannot afford counseling otherwise. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>PBCP Coordinator, Janee Carlile, appreciates Lisa\u2019s involvement and follow through.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cLisa listens to her clients and encourages them to become better versions of themselves. She is authentic and real in her sessions which invites clients to not feel so alone in their feelings.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lisa has a Master of Arts in Addiction Counseling and is trained in EMDR. She has held her LCAC for 6 years and is working on a Post-Graduate Certificate for her LMHC through Butler University. She has worked in a private practice setting for the past 7 months. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Lisa has lived in South Bend the past 22 years and was raised in the Metro Detroit, MI area. She is married with two children.
