El PBCP conecta a personas, parejas y familias sin seguro m\u00e9dico, con cobertura insuficiente o que no pueden costear el tratamiento de salud mental, con un terapeuta voluntario, licenciado y asegurado. Los terapeutas voluntarios brindan asesoramiento breve sin costo alguno para el cliente.<\/p>\n<p>John ha participado en el PBCP desde el programa piloto en 2021. Para John, dedicar su tiempo como voluntario para ayudar a otros a trav\u00e9s del PBCP es gratificante. Me siento m\u00e1s feliz dedicando una peque\u00f1a parte de mi tiempo a los clientes de PBCP. Durante a\u00f1os, lidi\u00e9 con la tarea repetitiva y la tensi\u00f3n de evaluar las necesidades financieras de los dem\u00e1s y decidir cu\u00e1nto deb\u00eda ayudar. Un d\u00eda me di cuenta de que estaba ayudando a personas que ganaban mucho m\u00e1s que yo. Simplemente no sab\u00eda decir que no. Ahora no me cuesta ayudar y me alegra decir que s\u00ed a PBCP. PBCP calcula las necesidades y me asigna un cliente. Apoyar a una organizaci\u00f3n cuya misi\u00f3n es aumentar el acceso a la atenci\u00f3n y a la informaci\u00f3n sobre salud mental es importante. Es una decisi\u00f3n obvia. Conf\u00edo en quienes est\u00e1n desarrollando la organizaci\u00f3n. En mi opini\u00f3n, mi tiempo en PBCP es una contribuci\u00f3n a la comunidad de South Bend, pero puedo hacerla de forma natural, haciendo lo que mejor s\u00e9 hacer. Los clientes, por supuesto, son encantadores.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>John obtuvo su doctorado en psicolog\u00eda en la Universidad Adler y es propietario de Family Psychology of South Bend, LLC. Cuenta con m\u00e1s de veintid\u00f3s a\u00f1os de experiencia trabajando con parejas, especializ\u00e1ndose en el m\u00e9todo Gottman. Es terapeuta sexual certificado por AASECT y utiliza la terapia con retroalimentaci\u00f3n en su pr\u00e1ctica. Originario de South Bend, John est\u00e1 casado y tiene dos hijos: un adolescente y dos adultos.
