El PBCP conecta a personas, parejas y familias sin seguro m\u00e9dico, con cobertura insuficiente o que no pueden costear el tratamiento de salud mental, con un terapeuta voluntario, licenciado y asegurado. Los terapeutas voluntarios ofrecen terapia breve sin costo alguno para el cliente.<\/p>\n<p>Tonya est\u00e1 comprometida con la reducci\u00f3n de las barreras al acceso a la atenci\u00f3n de la salud mental y con la creaci\u00f3n de una comunidad m\u00e1s sana. \u201cSer voluntaria de PBCP es una gran oportunidad para influir en la comunidad y seguir creciendo profesionalmente\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Tonya se gradu\u00f3 de la Universidad de Indiana South Bend con una maestr\u00eda en Trabajo Social. Le apasiona trabajar con adultos con TDAH y cuenta con la certificaci\u00f3n en evaluaci\u00f3n y tratamiento de este trastorno, un tema que le toca muy de cerca. Adem\u00e1s de su labor cl\u00ednica, Tonya disfruta realizando actividades de divulgaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica y trabajo comunitario.<\/p>\n<p>Tonya es originaria de New Carlisle, Indiana. Vive en South Bend desde 2009 y abri\u00f3 una consulta privada a tiempo parcial llamada &quot;Going Mental Health&quot; en 2020. Tonya tiene dos hijos y disfruta ayudando a una amiga con su negocio de plantas, lo cual le resulta terap\u00e9utico.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnimo a los terapeutas de la zona a colaborar como voluntarios con el PBCP. Cuantos m\u00e1s voluntarios tenga el proyecto, mayor ser\u00e1 su impacto\u201d, afirma Angela Fitch, coordinadora del proyecto PBCP.
